My favorite gorcery store is Publix because in their meat deli they have an asian guy who makes all kinds of fresh sushi daily! I cannot leave the store without buying some,I love sushi. The sushi guy recognises us by now, and always smiles alot when Jer and I pick out what sushi we want. I think he knows we appreciate his work!
]]>so i've been perfume-obsessed lately (and as usual).
it's always near christmas-time that i start remembering my favourite perfumes! perhaps because i've been receiving perfume each year for the past few years!
i actually already forced my sister to purchase my christmas present yesterday (kinda happy and excited about it haha). it's the Chloe Eau de Parfum - top notes of peony, lychee, and freesia; with blends of rose, magnolia, lily of the valley, amber and cedarwood. i smelt it once, and i fell in love and had to have it now!!! i can't wait to open this present for christmas! hehe :)
my christmas present for myself this year will most likely be Anna Sui Flight of Fancy - with top notes of citrus and lychee; middle notes of magnolia, rose and purple rain freesia; and with a base of amber crystal, musk, and white woods. it smells similar to Chloe, but i guess these are the scents that i love smelling on myself so i dont c-c-c-are! i do get super excited just talking and thinking about all the scents i love <3 i've been wanting Flight of Fancy since last year, but i figured that 3 perfumes in one christmas is not justifiable. i hope it's still available around here. haven't had the chance to drop by the mall. if i do find it, i think i will definitely buy it already, even though it ain't christmas yet! if i don't find it, i'll seriously cry.
last christmas, i received SO MUCH perfume. i purchased the L.A.M.B. fragrance for myself, for my daily use during colder seasons:
and i purchased a Harajuku Lovers Fragrance, Lil Angel. my bf ended up giving me the whole set of the Harajuku Lovers Fragrance for christmas, a total of 5 fragrances, which made me extremely happy! then, i purchased the Harajuku Lovers Solid Perfume set myself, since i loved it so much! i use the harajukus during the warmer months :)
i then, pretty much, had a total of 6 perfumes for christmas, plus another 5 mini solid perfumes!
the previous years, i've received Benefit Maybe Baby, which I still love, but cannot find it ANYWHERE anymore (still trying to look for it!):
AND Givenchy Hot Couture Eau de Toillette, my first beloved perfume. i've had it for over 6 years, but now i smell it on a lot of people nowadays, one of whom is my friend and wears it more often than me for the past year! therefore, i no longer wear it, although the memories of it still remain.
i was actually contemplating on even posting this whole post because as you can tell, i am selfish with my perfumes and don't want anyone else smelling like me (who wants to smell like everyone else anyway?)! but i figured i should be a nice girl and share!
i don't exactly know what to do with fragrances i love though. i want to have all of them for the rest of my life! so should i be saving them, stocking up on them, purchasing multiples? i know that they won't be around forever, so what should i do? right now, i am saving them, trying to use them minimally. i am quite hesitant about purchasing multiples when i know that i still have half a bottle on my dresser. remember, i am still a student. student = financial issues.
there are actually a few more perfumes that i quite like and are worth mentioning:

Today while practacing nihon go (Japanese language) via Rosetta Stone, I learned that 'terebi' ( pronounced : te-ra-bee) is the japanese word for t.v. I concluded that the Japanese 'bi' sound must be the equivelent of the english ' v ' sound.
Baised upon this theory, my full name in Japanese would be ' bira anita smitsu'

last year, i hated halloween.
this year, it actually wasn't bad. i actually went to Fright Nights at the PNE but never went into ANY of the haunted houses (hey, baby steps). i also went on the Stanley Park Ghost Train which was as scary as i will allow it to get. i didn't go out on halloween or anything like that. kinda overaged to go trick-or-treating. i simply stayed home with my sisters and tried to scare the very few trick-or-treaters that knocked on our door.
each year, there is less trick-or-treaters than the last. it's kind of sad, because when i was a little one, i remember always wearing an angel costume. each kid from each house goes out with one parent while the other parent stays home to give out treats. when i would trick-or-treat, there were lots and lots of people walking on the sidewalk trick-or-treating. too bad the kids nowadays can no longer feel how nice it felt to experience that!
i'm quite proud of my mini pumpkin this year actually. i spent the morning of hallow's eve, watching ellen, while carving my two-sided mini pumpkin! :)
anyways, this halloween was nice. hopefully next year's is better :)
I carefully threaded the leather straps through the two metal rings and then folded the strap pushing it back through the first ring and cinched it tight. 3 more Straps I fastened this way, tugging hard to make certain they'd hold the front and back of the hardened leather chest piece in place. Lovingly I smoothed down the wrinkles of the maroon under tunic beneath the leather. Patiently biting my lower lip I worked the laces of the matching deep brown vambraces. Pulling the thin strips of leather loose, then tight, then tighter, working my way from wrists half way to the elbow. With a smile I fold my legs beneath me to kneel and wrap the sandals above the knee, ending some where above the tunic line. I stand again and hold out the mask of beautiful dark brown leather tinged with red. It is my favorite piece because etched with in the mask, in great detail is a magnificant tree.. the world tree, Yggdrasil. Then goes the huge imposing helm made of gleaming metal, coated with oil and rounded in the back. In front the nose guard decends but the mouth and eyes still can be seen. Dark eyes that match the leather. The horsetail of Rome crowns the healm valoriously. I place in one hand my tiny pink digital camera, and in the other his luch box, and see my husband off to work on the morning of Halloween.
Jer & my first house plant is a mint. It smells so sweet ♥ I have some trepidation remembering how I killed a bunch of cacti last year, but Jer has promised to guide me so mayhap it will make it.
Jer makes ribs so jucy the meat falls off the bone. I am a spoiled wife!
I made a pumkin pie for the first time....it smells sweet but I have not tasted it yet :D
Today I learned to say "black and white"in Japanese: kuro to shiro.
2 sentences I can say about myself in japanse:
1) Watashi wa kanojo to shogakusai wa nihonjin imasu. " I am (a) female and(a) student of japanese."
2) Watashi wa shiro onna no hito to watshi wa koi kuro otoko no hito desu. " I am a white woman and I love (a) black man."

]]>w hen I go to my favorite bookstore I feel like a goddess. There is a seemingly endless supply of different worlds, to be reached with a touch of the finger on a page. There is a coffee shop inside who's workers recognize us and know we want 2 strawberry milkshakes by heart. I just stand beside my husband, holding his hand and my eyes speak happiness. When we leave, he holds the door for me and compares our milkshakes. He always tells me they give me the best one :D
